Allen “Ray” Pearce, 93, of Hot Springs, died, May 4, 2021.
Born Sept. 11, 1927, in Circleville, Ohio, he moved to Arkansas in 1946.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was active in First Baptist Churches of both Hot Springs and Malvern. He was a regional supervisor for Rephan’s Stores, and later owned Pearce Department Stores in Malvern and Sheridan. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, friendliness and love of music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Pearce; wife of 52 years, Wanda; his second wife, Jackie; sons, Rick and Gene; and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are, son Mike (Brenda) of Huntsville, Alabama; daughters-in-law Earlece of Marietta, Georgia and Pennie of Malvern; grandchildren, Michele of Marietta, Georgia, Blair of Burleson, Texas, Stuart of Corvallis, Oregon, Adam of Seattle, Washington, and Jason, Ryan and Skii of Malvern; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family memorial service.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Lake Hamilton Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care of Ray.
