Allen Oates
Allen Barry Oates was born October 23, 1961 to Everett and Faye Oates. Barry was a life long resident of North Little Rock. Barry died February 13, 2012 at the age of 50. Barry served in the United States Army and worked for Coca-Cola and the Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Griffin Oates; mother, Erma Faye Oates; and sister, Martha Nelwyn Oates. Survivors include son, Taylor Oates of Leesburg, Virginia; daughter, Lindsey Fratto (Brian) of Leesburg, Virginia; brother, Everett Gordon Oates; sister-in-law, Carolyn Oates of Lonoke; niece, Rachel Oates; nephew, Jacob Oates and his wife, Sam; great-nephew, Griffin Allen Oates, all of Austin, Arkansas. Barry is also survived by two special friends, Bernie Finch and his wife, Vicki, who were there for Barry throughout his last years along with friend, Mike Boyce.
Barry was a gentle man who had a heart of gold. He loved to make pies and cook cuisine meals. He will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 with a visitation 1 hour prior to service at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
