Allen Loy

Angels carried Allen Lee Loy home to be with our Lord on March 16, 2012. He now waits for his best friend and wife of 33 years, Lynn Burroughs Loy, whose bond of love surpasses all time. He was born October 11, 1956 in Hot Springs, the son of the late Leo and Pearl Garner Loy. Allen graduated from Bismarck High School, and chose a job in maintenance management. He was a member of the Bismarck Pentecostal Church. He raised his family in the community where he grew up, as he desired to do. He enjoyed fishing, farming, traveling, and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. At every opportunity he shared how God's Peace kept him through the numerous surgeries and hospitalizations. We will always treasure the self-sacrificial love shown daily to his family throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Truman Loy and one sister, Sue Loy Rowton.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Stephanie Loy Collier and her husband Aaron of Bismarck and Blake Loy and his wife Ashley of Little Rock. He had a strong work ethic and used strength and compassion as guidance to teach the value of diligence to his children. His big heart and the ability to put people at ease emanated a sense of security to all those who loved him. His sole grandchild, Emilee Collier, always cherished the time spent with her Papa going out on the lake, watching cartoons, and sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning. He loved assuring her that God had chosen her for our family, and made it a priority to instill the Word of God in her. He is also survived by four sisters, Faye Hughes and husband Ray of Bismarck, Shirley Bradshaw and husband Bill of Magnolia, Mary Pope and husband Dale of Little Rock, Diane Ellis and husband Tom of Bismarck, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be at 11 AM Tuesday, March 20 at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Brother Van Glidewell and Brother Howard Rowton officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gentry DePriest, Kyler DePriest, Matt Ellis, Tony Loy, Matt Lozeau, and Ryan Shuffield. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Mark Jansen, Dr. Steve Bodeman, Dr. Terri Blackstock, Dr. Carl Covey, and to the medical staff at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs.
