Allen D. Perkins

Allen D. Perkins, age 89, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

He was born on January 19, 1932, in San Benito, Texas, the son of Leslie Allen Perkins and Vernice Altlers Perkins. On July 21, 1956, he married Juanita Tedford. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Allen was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He is a United States Army veteran that served during the Korean Conflict. Allen and Juanita loved to roam the country in their R.V, traveling was his greatest pleasure. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Juanita Perkins of Hot Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Lisa Perkins of Lowell and Randall and Renee of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Justin Nickerson, Jacob Perkins, Whitney Brown and McKenzie O’Brien; four great-grandchildren, Landon Brown, Eli Brown, Miles Dodson and Beau Dodson; his sister, Barbara Thexton of Seguin, Texas; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 8, 2021, in the Salem Cemetery, near Beebe.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, May 7, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Pallbearers will be Randall Perkins, Greg Perkins, Jacob Perkins, Justin Nickerson, Stephen Tedford and Lee Tedford.
