Alice Sparr

Alice C. Sparr, age 86 of Sherwood, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She was born September 15, 1929 in Memphis, TN to Helen Owens Stevens and William G. (Steve) Stevens.
Alice is survived by her sons Steve (Robin) Sparr of North Little Rock, Mike (Barbara) Sparr of Las Vegas, NV, daughters Kathy Sparr of Topeka, KS and Paula Sparr-Hoffman (Keith) of Sherwood. She is also survived by grandchildren Steve Sparr, Jr, Cindy (David) LaDue, Dana Ross, Michelle (Lou) Pedler, Melanie (Dan) Sparr, Mike (Chrissy) Sparr, Matt (Tirsa) Sparr, Melissa (Dustin) Baker, Donovan Wilson, Nathan Morley, Ethan (Ashya) Morley, and Chad Kennedy. As well as 15 great and great great grandchildren.
Alice spent most of her working life as a computer programmer working at the LRAFB when it was first built, South Central Electric, and the City of Little Rock. Her years of retirement were spent travelling, seeing so much of the world of which most only dream. She was also totally devoted to her family and her most treasured times were when she was in their midst. Alice was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she had assisted with the church library and food pantry.

The family has requested that plants be sent to the services in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church 10150 Brockington Rd. Sherwood, AR. Visitation will be at 10:00AM.
