Alice Jett

Alice Irene Jett, 83, passed away on March 30, 2020 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Alice was born in Arkadelphia, AR on October 1, 1936.

She is survived by her three children, Randy Jett, George Jett (Judy) and Penny Boyer; a brother Joe Boyer (Aileen); grandchildren, Amy Beckius (Joey), Anthony Jett (Amber), Matt Boyer (Jen), Barbie Jett, Christine Jett-Saunders (Steve) and Elissa Jett (Travis Fletcher) and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Opal (Freeman) Boyer, a brother, Andrew Thomas and a sister Barbara.

Alice worked for the City of Little Rock for 26 years. She started as a LRPD meter-maid and worked her way up to a supervisor in the Little Rock Police Department's 911 Center. She attended the Church at Rock Creek for many years until her Parkinson's disease took away her ability to continue attending. She spent the last four years of her life being cared for by the loving nurses, aides and staff at Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Alice was a great mother, raising three children as a single mother. She was like a second mother to many of their friends. She was a loving sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved and adored each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a kind, caring and generous person, a Christian who lived her life to honor the Lord and be an example to others, who was always there to listen and help however she could.

Alice will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She will live in our hearts forever.

Due to the Coronavirus there will not be a visitation or funeral. There will be a memorial for Alice at a future date, then a burial in Arkadelphia, AR.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, #1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202 or a charity of your choosing.
