Alice Jacobs, age 85, of Mount Ida, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020.
She was born on September 7, 1934 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Owen Robert Cravey and Vivian Estelle Spangler Cravey. On April 27, 1950, she was married to John Jacobs who preceded her in death on March 5, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jay Jacobs, on April 24, 2017.
An accomplished artist, she has some of her oil works on display at the local bank. She was an author who had two of her books published, a wonderful seamstress and great cook. She always enjoyed nature and the beauty that surrounds us. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jacobs of Mount Ida; two grandsons, Jason Jacobs of Colorado and Daniel Jacobs and his wife, Mindy, of Mount Ida; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Kimball Palmer officiating.
Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons, at any one time, attending indoor services. At all services, you must avoid all physical contact. Attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering which conceals the mouth and nose at all times.
Interment will be in Blish Cemetery near Mount Ida.
