Alice Marie Dickey, 80 Dalark passed away peacefully in her home July 21, 2019. Alice, one of 9 siblings was born July 17,1939 in Arkadelphia to George Floyd and Ethel Loraine (Tunnicliff) McCaskill. Alice, a graduate of Arkadelphia High School and Arkadelphia Beauty College began her career path in cosmetology. She enjoyed working the farm but will always be known as the owner and operator of Alice’s Country Kitchen in Sparkman. Alice loved cooking and serving the people in her community; always interested in the thoughts of those whom shared life with her in her restaurant. While always critical of her own cooking the kitchen was a place of comfort and her cooking a labor of Love. Cooking wasn’t her only talent; Alice loved to paint and share her paintings with her family.
Alice is survived by son: James D. (Ruth) Kelley III of Sparkman, her daughter; Kathy (Robert) Boulet of Lafayette, LA., three grandchildren; Jordan, Justin and Ana Boulet of Lafayette, LA. and two sisters; Wanda (Sam) Hamm of Malvern and Vickie (Buddy) Stevenson of Malvern.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years Bill Dickey, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home with the Service to begin at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Max Deaton officiating, Interment will follow at Atchley Cemetery in Dalark.
