Alice Cory

Alice Orban Roachell Martindale Cory, 90, our beloved Alice, Mother and Grams, passed into the comforting and loving arms of Jesus at sunrise Saturday morning, surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her two military husbands, Jesse Martindale, whom she was married to for over 50 years and Bill Cory, for 18 months. She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Martindale, Sharon Martindale and Kari Byrd (Tommy); four grandsons, Jeff Bates, Jerry Bates, David Byrd and Jesse Martindale (Olivia); one granddaughter, Dr. Maralyn Martindale Beadles (Jake) and two great-grandchildren, Aden and Haley Byrd.

She touched the lives of many children over several decades with loving care, as their "Nanny", guiding them, and teaching them. She raised four strong women who are making their mark on those they have touched just as she did.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Online obit and guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com
