Alfred Holland

Alfred F. Holland, 81, of Ash Flat and formerly of the Olmstead Community, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was a retired home builder and remodeling contractor working with Winrock Holmes and Harold Thompson Construction. Alfred was a member of National Rifle Association, an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended Life Tabernacle in Macon, Arkansas and dearly loved Brother George Mutton.
He is survived by two daughters, Neoma Arnold (Frankie) of Ash Flat, Debbie Huffman of Cabot; sister, Wanda Waldrop (Lowell) of Orlando, Florida; brother, Lester "Whitey" Holland of Jacksonville; former wife, Wanda Tinker of Ash Flat; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his companion; Leona; granddaughter, Jodanna Huffman; four brothers, Junior Holland, Eugene Holland, Henry Holland and Verl Holland; three sisters, Geneva Higgins, Della Brown and Minnie Dews.
The family wants to express a special thanks to Eagle Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ash Flat for their special care of Fred.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Gravel Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
