Alfred Fite

Henry Alfred "Al" Fite, age 80, of Sparkman, passed away on Monday January 22, 2018, at his home. He was born November 27, 1937, in Hot Spring County, the son of Henry and Ethel Thomas Fite. Alfred was a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church.

Alfred was a great family man and exemplified the definition of a friend. His tremendous integrity and joyful attitude have touched many people in his life's path. He retired from International Paper Company in Camden after forty-three years and also served on the Dallas County Quorum Court for twenty-five years. Alfred enjoyed spending time on his farm tending his cows with the help of his dog "Buddy". He and his life-long soul-mate and wife, Pat, loved adventure and traveled to all fifty states, Canada and Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-laws, Walter (Sprout) and Lois(Toad) White; and sister-in-law, Judy Stephenson.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Patricia Ann Fite; two daughters, Cindy White (Mark) of Malvern and Dr. Dedra Fite (Lisa Bridges) of Dallas TX; one son, David Fite (Rosie) of Sparkman; grandchildren, Jeremy White of Lowell, Dr. J. Cole White (Tori) of Bentonville and Elizabeth Fite of Houston, TX; and step-grandchildren, Magen Allen (Jeremy) of Bismarck and their children Lane, Brody, Evie and Eli and Matt Garner (Lindsey) of Malvern and their children Montana and Houston.

Pallbearers will be: Doug German, Mitch Williams, Ricky Overton, Teddy Huneycutt, Steve Huneycutt, Myron Crisco, and Ricky Fleming. Honorary pallbearers are Dallas County Quorum Court, Dallas County Sheriff's Office and Main Street Café coffee drinking buddies.

Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday January 27th, in the Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Dan Samons officiating and burial in Round Hill Cemetery near Dalark. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Friday evening at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Round Hill Cemetery or The Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church.
