Alexis Lorene Looney

Our precious Alexis Lorene Looney, age 28 of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away on September 12, 2022, in Conway, Arkansas. She was a ray of sunshine who shared her warmth and light with everyone. Alexis loved all things music, nature and fitness. She enjoyed her job as a library media specialist at Western Hills Elementary School and had just spent several weeks in Mexico this summer becoming a certified yoga instructor. She had such a bright and promising future awaiting her.

Alexis was born on December 30, 1993, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Tanya Roper and Leon Pierce Looney III. At the age of 2, she was welcomed into the home and hearts of her great uncle and aunt, Daryl and Debby Jones. Their four children lovingly accepted Alexis as their younger sister.

Alexis is survived by her birth parents, Tanya Roper and Leon Pierce Looney III; as well as, the parents who raised her, Aunt Debby and Uncle Daryl. She is also survived by D.J. (Yessica) Jones, Darla (Dale) Campbell, David (Misty) Jones, Deanna (Josh) Jeffery, Brooklynn (Dakota) Brown, Daniel Magee and Leon Pierce Looney IV. Also surviving Alexis are her maternal grandparents Robert Roper and Lisa Lee Roper.

Alexis, also referred to as Sissy, was adored by all of her cousins: Tyler Jones, Anamarie Jones, Dalee Campbell, Alex Jones, Katie Jones, Marley Campbell, Jaylee Jeffery, Dylan Jones, Daxton Jeffery, Ridge Jones, Oaklee Jeffery and Austin Schroeder.

Sadly, Alexis’ sister, Logan Roper, and her beloved Great Granny, Faye Looney Blair, preceded her in death.
