Alex William Kampouris, II, age 72, of Caddo Gap, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 28, 2023.
He was born on April 5, 1951, in Sacramento, California, the son of Alex William Kampouris, I and Della Payton Kampouris. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Patricia Warren.
On June 22, 1991, he was married to Janet Elaine Long. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Caddo Gap, where he truly loved his church family. Alex was an experienced auto mechanic and had a great passion for building and customizing Hot Rods. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV but was an avid San Francisco Giants Baseball fan. Alex enjoyed traveling and had a wonderful sense of humor, always keeping everyone entertained.
Above all, Alex was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who dearly loved his family. He also loved his special cats, Buster and Smokey, who were always his faithful buddies. Alex will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his loving wife, Janet Kampouris of Caddo Gap; his daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Bobby Obradovitch of Las Vegas, Nevada; his stepchildren and their spouses, Travis and Tammie Darling of Benton and Angela and Brandon Jerzak of Caddo Gap; his grandchildren, Bryce, Kiera, Hannah, Rebekah, Noah, Elijah, Judah, Kylie, and Tyler; several nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
A private family burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
