Alene Carger

Alene Spurlin Carger, 94, of Cabot passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015. She was born September 13, 1921 in McAlmont, Arkansas to Joseph and Elizabeth Thornton Spurlin. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Alene was a loving mother of four who dedicated her life to her family.
She is survived by her children, Albertina Winter, Roberta Dupree, Michael Carger (Clara), Dwain Carger (Debbie); five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 77 years, Mack Lowell Carger; and two granddaughters, Brenda James and Rainie Smith.
A visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday followed by a funeral services at 2:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
