Aldes Woods Mouton, 85 of Sherwood went on his final journey home Sunday, August 7th 2022. He has finally arrived at the destination that he prepared for all of his life. He was truly a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He served his country in the Air Force, and he served God every day of his life. He was a disciplined man that stood for what was right at all times. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time hunting and fishing.
He was born in Port Arthur Texas and resided in Nederland for the majority of his life. And though he loved Arkansas, he was a Texan through and through.
Words can’t describe how much all of his family will miss him and cherish every memory made together.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lynn of Sherwood, Arkansas; daughter, Karen Long of Sherwood. Arkansas; three sons, Kevin Mouton of Zavalla, Texas, Brent Mouton of Nederland Texas, Stephen Mouton of Cabot Arkansas; one brother, Wallace Mouton of Kirbyville, Texas; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents U.A. Mouton and Mildred A. Mouton.
Al loved spending time with his family, all his grand and great grandchildren and he especially loved holding and playing with all the babies! His smile was warm and genuine and his laugh was contagious.
He was the cornerstone of the family and he was a man of principle, integrity, ethics and grit.
He was a leader and he led by example. Physically, he was an extraordinarily strong man, but most importantly, he had a sincere tenderness about him in regards to helping those around him and living for the Lord.
He will forever be loved and missed!
