Albert R. "Pete" Gilliam, 92, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
He was a retired farmer and a veteran of WWII, serving as a combat infantryman in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes campaigns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byars and Vevel (Fuller) Gilliam; and a brother, Ralph Gilliam.
Pete is survived by his sister, Susie Coffey; nephew, Randy Gilliam; and nieces, Phyllis Daniel and Sheila Halford; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 139 Mt. Olive Rd., McRae, AR 72102. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
