Albert Fawcett

Albert Lee Fawcett, 87, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born August 8, 1930 in Beebe, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Little Rock High School and the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity Member.
He was a registered professional engineer, land surveyor and real estate broker. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Fawcett worked in engineering for the Corps of Engineer, Little Rock Air Force Base and the V.A. from which he retired. He worked on the modification, maintenance design and construction of numerous projects including the Arkansas River Navigation System, Little Rock Air Force Base, Titan II Missile Silos and VA Hospital. Mr. Fawcett enjoyed boating, fishing, golf and spending quality time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his boating and fishing buddy, grandson, Drew Gardner. Survivors include his devoted wife of 65 years, Roma Staples Fawcett; son, Al Fawcett, Jr.; daughter, Louann Gardner; grandsons, Reed (Zoë) and Garret Gardner; and great-grandson, Boston Greer Gardner; all of North Little Rock.
A visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. A memorial graveside service with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
