Alan Christopher Wildschuetz

September 19, 1966 — May 16, 2023

Little Rock

The Lord welcomed Alan Christopher Wildschuetz into his arms on May 16, 2023, while surrounded by his family who loves him dearly.  Alan fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith.  He is no longer bound by sickness and cancer; for he is set free from pain and disease.

Alan was born on September 19, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Christopher Wildschuetz and Joan Shirley (Belcher) Wildschuetz.

Alan graduated from Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri in 1984 where he was the first chair trombone player in the Hillcrest Marching Band.  He received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1989.  Alan worked for Union Pacific Railroad as manager of yard operations for over twenty years.  He is a long-time member of the Henderson United Methodist Church, where he served as the youth pastor-a ministry he was passionate about.  Alan was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and a member of the Central Arkansas Chiefs.  He was active in the ACCYM Choir tours, Ozark Mission Project, and Emmaus ministries.

Preceding Alan in death are his father, Charles Christopher Wildschuetz; and paternal grandparents, Frederick and Merle (Risinger) Wildschuetz.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of sixteen years, Pamela Wildschuetz of Little Rock, Arkansas; children:  Kendra Mayo (Matt) of Bigelow; Aaron Wildschuetz (Alyssa) of Benton, Cameran McWilliams (Rickie) of Jacksonville, FL, Meagan Miller (Brandon) of Edmond, OK, and Shelby Loyd (Trent) of Fayetteville; grandchildren:  Mason Wildschuetz, Nora McWilliams, Harper Mayo, Weston Miller, Breckin McWilliams, Lakyn Loyd, Emery Mayo, Sutton Wildschuetz, Elliott McWilliams, Ryan Miller, Hawkins Loyd, and Grayson Mayo; mother, Joan Shirley (Belcher) Wildschuetz; siblings:  Cheryl Richardson (Louis), Gary Wildschuetz, Dale Wildschuetz, and Shirley Kerns (Jerry); and a host of family and friends who love Alan and will miss him always.

Alan had a strong faith in God and touched so many through his faith and ministry.  His desire was to inspire others and bring a smile to their face.  He said, “I follow God step by step, knowing He is right beside me.  That gives me so much peace.  This journey has been outstanding.”

The family would like to thank Dr. Baltz and his staff at CHI St. Vincent for their compassion and care over the past five years.

Services will be held at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 W.
