Alan Douglas Blaylock, 53, husband of Karen Longinotti Blaylock, of Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2006. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Charles Walter Blaylock of Baton Rouge, LA and Doris Denning of Little Rock. A 1978 Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Alan was an avid Razorback fan who enjoyed the outdoors and bicycling. He loved spending time with his wife and children and family, and lived life to the fullest, despite his many health problems. In addition to his wife of 27 years and his parents, Alan is survived by his daughter, Lisa Blaylock; son, Matthew Blaylock; brother, Bruce Blaylock and his wife, Janet, of Salem, Virginia; in-laws, Jim and Dodie Longinotti and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The family gives special thanks to the caregivers at Timber Ridge Ranch and to the staff at Saline Memorial Hospital.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, 1003 No. Tyler St., Little Rock. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Church. Memorials may be made to The Lisa and Matthew Blaylock College Fund at any Bank of America branch; Catholic High School for Boys or to the Msgr. Francis A.
