Adell Tucker age 95 of Curtis died Friday, March 25, 2011. She was born in Clark County November 26, 1915 the daughter of Charlie and Mary Beth Trout Dixon. She and her husband owned and operated Tucker's Grocery in Curtis for many years and in later years she worked at the Clark County Library. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Curtis. She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Tucker and one son Jimmy Tucker.
Survivors include one son Ricky Tucker and his wife Karen of Curtis, two daughters, Charlotte Chitwood and her husband Johnny of Arkadelphia, and Janie Newton and her husband Earl also of Arkadelphia, seven grandchildren, Sonny, Benny, Brandon and Josh Tucker, Lisa Taylor, Greg Newton and Allison White, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sonny Tucker and Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Curtis. The Tucker family would like to offer a special word of appreciation to the staff of Courtyard Gardens for their excellent care.
