On July 6th, 2023, Aaron Glen Wells went home to be with our Lord. Born on April 1st, 1935, in Griffithville, Arkansas. He graduated from Sheridan High School. He found work as a truck driver, driving for Jones Rigging and Heavy Hauling for over 35 years, with a career that spanned 50 years.
He had a love for steam engine trains and would spend summers going to Durango, Colorado to enjoy riding the trains he admired so much. Later in life, daughter Debbie-Jean would take him for short road trips where he was the road map to wherever they went because he knew all the roads that needed to be taken and had a story about all the bridges that he had hauled the steel for along the way.
Preceded in death by (father) Lewis D. Wells, (mother) Lois Miller Wells, (older brother) Alvin A. Wells, (first wife) Mary Manus Wells, (son) Mark Wells, (son) David Wells. Survived by son Jeff (Dee) Wells of Cabot, AR. Daughter Debbie Jean Wells (Ron) Anderson of Little Rock. Devoted grandson Charlie (Nikki) Pemberton of Little Rock; granddaughter Lindsey (James) Pike of Memphis, TN., granddaughter Sara (Jason) Cook formally of Benton, along with numerous grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.
