Aaron Engle

Aaron Lovell Engle, 74, of Benton, Arkansas passed away December 4, 2020.  He was born April 30, 1946 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Glenn Freeman and Faye Smith.

Aaron proudly served in the United States Navy where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.  After retiring from the Federal Department of Corrections, Aaron did not sit still.  He continued working as a security officer.  Aaron enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and going on trips to Oregon.  He loved his four-legged fur baby (“probably more than 90% of humans” he said!).  Aaron also tinkered with model airplanes, flying, and flight simulators.  He was a bit of a pack rat and often made big orders from Amazon and Ebay.  Aaron was very vocal and would say what he thought-with no filter!  He was loyal to himself and those who knew him through thick and thin.

Preceding Aaron in death are his mother, Faye Smith; and sister, Barbara.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, James Engle and wife Brandy of Benton, Arkansas; two daughters:  Vicki Crawford and husband Robert of Atlanta, Texas and Rhonda Merrell and husband Tim of Ashdown, Arkansas; grandchildren:  Ben, Mary, Shannon, Aaron, Khali, and Brody; eight great-grandchildren; father, Glenn Freeman; two sisters:  Glenda and Sharon; and many more family members and friends who love Aaron and will miss him always.
