A. Miller

A. Jack Miller, 65, of N. Little Rock, passed peacefully on August 28th, 2016. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Helen Marjorie Lee Rummel and husband, Ernest Rummel and father A. Frank Miller. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Lake and Brenda Davidson and grandson, Ricky Wheeler.
He was a loving husband, dad & Pops, loved and liked by all. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from LR Waste Water Utility after 36 years.
Following their first date, on which he stated he was going to marry her, he married Sandy Kennon, six months later. Together they made a home, raised their family, traveled and enjoyed the challenges life brought their way. They both retired in 2007.
He enjoyed sports- playing softball, bowling, throwing horseshoes, water volleyball and teaching his kids and grandkids a love for the game of billiards. He loved to cruise anywhere with family and friends. He loved piddling on his '67 Nova (aka... the Jack Mobile), which was his very first car bought in 1967. Fun loving, hardworking, a jokester but always polite and compassionate; he lived life on his terms.
He will be missed by his beloved wife of 38 years Sandy, children Nathan Miller of NLR, Brad (Heather) Miller of Dallas, Shannon (Chris) McNeely of Greenbrier, Sharie (Ron) Moore of NLR, Amanda (John) McAlister of Benton, 14 grandchildren - Rosanna, Kaylie, Heather, CJJ, CJM, RJ, Mitchell, Kristen, Austin, Lauren, Makenzie, Madison, Max, Nicholas, 6 great-grandchildren - Spencer, Joel, Aaron, Miles, Elle, Grady, brothers - Jerry Tucker, Scott Rummel, sisters- Pat Fintoski, Becky Gubanski and so very many family and friends.
