William Reader

William R. Reader, 85, of Ward went to be with the Lord, on Saturday February 15, 2020.  He was born to the late Charles and Marjorie Reader on February 25, 1934 in Gillette, Arkansas.

William retired from the United States Air Force, and later from Cummins Mid South.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  William loved his church and was a faithful member of New Horizon Baptist Church. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

William is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Betty; daughters, Sandra Clement (Richard), and Dana Williams (John); son Frank Reader (Theresa); five grandchildren, Billy Smith, Christian Smith, Matthew Williams, Katie Henderson, and Bobbi Reader, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bruce Reader, Jr.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at New Horizon Baptist Church, with burial in Butlerville Cemetery.  Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
