William “Bill” Hinkle, 86, of Cabot died at home, where he wanted to be, April 12, 2020. He was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas to Clarence and Hattie Hinkle on April 6, 1934.
From the age of 8, he was known for his mechanical talents. He enjoyed tinkering, taking things apart and putting them back together. He served in the Army National Guard from 1956-1958, then entered the civilian workforce as a mechanical technician/engineer for Kellwood in Lonoke, where he retired after many years. He later went to work and retired from Bancroft, as well.
Bill was known for telling stories. He would reminisce and tell stories to anyone who would listen. He also enjoyed raising cattle and tinkering with his farm equipment, in his retirement.
He was an active Mason of the Cabot Lodge. Bill was known to do anything for anyone, and was generous to a fault.
