Wanda Burford
Wanda Sue Burford, 76, of Benton, passed away July 8, 2019. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Lucas James and Bess Ward Ashcroft, she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas and retired from Dillard's in 2005. She was a past president of the Art Association of Central Arkansas and past secretary of Mid-Southern Watercolorists. She was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bryan Leigh Franklin, she is survived by her husband, Don Burford; son, Brice Dean Franklin (Kellie) of San Antonio; daughter, Piper Lynn Franklin Knutson (Gregg) of Benton; and grandchildren, Kayleigh Franklin and Abigail Rose Knutson.
Sue had a full life with family and many friends. She loved all beautiful things, flowers, music and art.
Services will be Saturday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, officiated by Pastors Max Pyron and Dave Hughey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, 10718 Brazos Valley Lane, Little Rock, AR 72212 (www.gideons.org).
