Timothy Cross

Timothy Leon Cross, well known resident of McRae, died Wednesday the 8th of April at home.  He was born March 12, 1961, in Beebe, Arkansas.

Tim served in the Army National Guard from 1979, until he was honorably discharged in 1988.  He loved helping other people.  A huge passion was volunteering for the McRae Fire Department.  Tim also held volunteer roles for the American red Cross and McRae Citizens on Patrol.

He was well known for making others laugh, and his love of animals.  Late in life you would not find him without his dog, Angel, in his lap.  Tim loved being outdoors, fishing with his two boys, and camping with his family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ezra and Minnie Cross and Rev. Bertie and Sam Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Danna Cross of McRae, sons Scott (Shayna) Cross of Springfield, MO and Joshua (Haley) Cross of New Orleans, LA; one granddaughter; his parents Rev. Leon and Shirley Cross of Beebe; sister Veronica (Gary) Craven of Beebe, stepson Kyle (Anna) Hoyle, step grandson and two step granddaughters of Heber Springs, two nieces, and one nephew as well as a host of many cousins, family and friends.
