Sandra Odom

Sandra Lee Odom, 74, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 3, 2022.  She was born August 11, 1947 in Hart, Michigan to Allen Carl and Mildred Faye (McCarty) McElwrath.

Sandra loved the lord and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Sandra was a very supportive wife who adored her husband.  Spending time with her family was very special to Sandra.  She and her husband enjoyed travelling and went on a trip of a lifetime following his retirement, driving from Arkansas to Yellowstone, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, all the way to California.  Her favorite vacations were to the beach. Sandra worked many years as a counselor and a caregiver.  She raised exotic birds for over ten years.  Sandra was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be missed always.

Preceding Sandra in death are her parents; and sister, Linda Miller.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of fifty-six years, Wayne Odom of Benton, Arkansas; daughters:  Tina Anglin and husband JR of Little Rock, Arkansas and Kimberly Burnett and husband Tim of Castaic, California; grandchildren:  Rachel Burnett, Kai Burnett, Anna Anglin, and Weston Anglin; sisters:  Judy Conder and husband Darrell of Kennett, Missouri, Sheila Gilpin and husband Jim of Kennett, Missouri, and Pam Holligan and husband Michael of Maumelle, Arkansas; and many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, January 7 with funeral service following at 2:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Burial to follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
