Robert Parten, 83, passed away Thursday, June 18 at Spring Creek Health and Rehab in Cabot after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Demopolis, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Carol Cresap Parten, parents Kit C. Parten and Annie Williams Parten, brothers Kit, Jr. and Charles as well as his granddaughter Michelle Ann Parten.
He was employed by Green Bay Packaging, Arkansas Kraft Division as a pulp mill supervisor for 33 years.
He is survived by his children Kit (Penny) Parten of Midland, TX, Howard (Kelli) Parten of Redmond, OR and Elizabeth (Willie) Elizandro of Cabot, AR, sisters Marie Lee of Demopolis, AL and Beatrice Parker of Thomaston, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren Christopher Parten of Denton, TX, Katelyn Parten of Klamath Falls, OR, John Parten of Redmond, OR and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
