Robert Lee Gatlin, 73, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 14, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospice. He was born May 13, 1943 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Marion and Verna Mae Golden Gatlin.
Preceding Robert in death are his parents, Marion and Verna Mae Gatlin; in-laws, William Edgar, Sr. and Bonnie Outlaw; brother-in-law, Thomas Outlaw; and sister-in-law, Barbara Gatlin.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Gatlin; daughter, Elizabeth Freeze and husband, Robert M., Jr. of Benton, Arkansas; son, Ted R. Gatlin and wife Kristi of Beavercreek, Ohio; grandchildren, James Michael Freeze, Sarah Adele Freeze, Riley Gatlin, Mary Beth Gatlin, Cory Gatlin, and Lucy Gatlin; brother, Marion Gatlin of Bauxite, Arkansas; brothers-in-law, William Edgar Outlaw and wife Kathy, Benjamin Outlaw and wife Pat, Charles Franklin Outlaw and wife Julie, and Milton Oliver Outlaw and wife Rhonda; and a host of family members and friends who loved Robert and will miss him always.
Family will hold visitation, from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the home of Robert's daughter, Elizabeth Freeze. Memorial service, officiated by Bro. Carlton Cross, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church.
Memorials can be made to Salem United Methodist Church or Saline Memorial Hospice.
