Melvyn Means

Melvyn Richard "Buck" Means, 97, of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019. He was born in North Little Rock on May 12, 1922 to Henry Newt Means and Soleta (Westbrook) Means. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his daughter, Ricky Jo Jarvis (Ed) of North Little Rock; step-daughter, Becky Jean Deal (Ron) of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Drew Tedford (Jil) and Stephanie Hartle, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of thirty-five years, Becky Means, son, Richard Means, sister, Katie VanEerdem, brothers, H.N. Jr., Charles, Harold, Jimmy and Bobby Means.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10:30 at Lakewood United Methodist Church. Burial will be Friday, November 22, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
