Mary Ruth Taylor, 94, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 5, 2021. She was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on April 11, 1927 to Wesley L. and Dona M. Stegall.
She was a lifelong Christian and attended Open Arms Assembly of God in Beebe. Mary loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. Her smile could light up a room. She loved jewelry shopping, and even when she didn’t have much money, she would put a ring on layaway until she could pay for it.
Mary worked most of her adult life for MacMillan Bloedel. She made several trips to Jerusalem and called them trips of a lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dillon Taylor, two brothers, her son Don Pannell and daughter Mary Ann.
Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law Beverly Pannell; two grandsons, Brandon Pannell of Beebe and Blake (Jennifer) Pannell of Fayetteville; seven great grandchildren, Taylor (Skyler) Pannell of Rogers, Alexander Pannell, Breanna Pannell, Courtney Pannell, Madison Wright, Adrian Manor and Jake Pannell.
Her family would like to thank Beebe Retirement Center, Unity Hospital and Arkansas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice or Open Arms Assembly of God.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Please visit www.westbrook@smithfamilycares.com to sign the guest registry.
