Mary Louise Quattlebaum Ruple, 90, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away May 16, 2017. She was born September 17, 1926 in Guy, Arkansas to the late Jeffie Albon and Virgie Maurine Johnson Quattlebaum. She attended North Little Rock High School, completed Baptist nursing school, and was in psychiatric nursing for almost 30 years, retiring from VA Arkansas Fort Roots. Mary Louise was a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ for over 60 years.
She is survived by her children, Gwen Beason (Lee) of Sherwood; Jeff Ruple of Sherwood; Mary Ann Carrington (Ed) of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Deborah Teel (Mark) of Dallas; Justin Hurley (Jennifer) of Sherwood; great-grandchildren, Nicole Zeinert (Patrick) of New York City; Blake Manfre of New York City, Katelyn Manfre of Dallas; Jake, Carson, Ethan, Jude, Claire, Emersyn Hurley of North Little Rock; sister, Janiece McDorman and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Ruple; parents; and sister, Patricia Ann Quattlebaum.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Highway 107. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Harmony Cemetery. Guest register at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
