Mary Ramm

Mary Ann Ramm, 83, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away September 4, 2021. She was born January 24, 1938, in Grand Island, Nebraska to the late James and Ethel Heldman. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Ramm; and sister, Bonnie Walcott. She is survived by her sons, Mark Ramm (Katherine) of Little Rock, David Ramm (Michele) of Jonesboro, Paul Ramm (Cynthia) of Bentonville; grandchildren, Natalie, Joseph, Benjamin, James, Leslie, Paul III, Alexander; great-grandchildren, Nola and two on the way.

She was a Nebraskan deep in her heart. Her grandfather was a homesteader in Franklin County, Nebraska. Mary relocated to our wonderful state of Arkansas in 1968.

Mary became a registered nurse in 1958 and worked in numerous hospital environments. Mary finished her career at the VA with 26 years of PTSD counseling at the North Little Rock Veterans Center. She received numerous awards and recognitions in service to our veterans.

Family was Mary’s top priority, and she was a devoted and loving mother. She was also a devoted Christian and a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering with the church and the City of North Little Rock. She primarily enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with family and friends around all the United States and abroad.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with a rosary starting at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church .
