Mary Knox

Mary Ellen Knox, 91, of Little Rock, died March 4, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Born in Little Rock to Richard and Elida Frawley Lewis, she graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Academy in 1946.  She was a longtime member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church before becoming a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William E. Knox, she is survived by her children, Janet Knox of Sherwood, Craig Knox (Cynthia) and Shannon Knox Law, all of Little Rock, and Brian Knox (Melissa) of Havana; grandchildren, Kimberly, Megan, Robin, Claire, Rob, Joey and Lee; great-grandchildren, Emmaline, Tom, James, David, Jim and Violet; and other family and friends.

Among other interests, including music, reading, travel and her canasta group years ago, Mom enjoyed gardening and working the daily crossword puzzle.  Above all was her faith and family.  She was a good and loving mother, and a blessing to family and friends.

There will be open visitation on Thursday, March 11 from 2-5 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 12  at Christ the King Church, preceded by the Rosary at 10:00.  Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
