Mary Horn

February 15, 1930 — June 26, 2021

Mary Horn

Mary Lovett Horn passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was 91.

Mary was born February 15, 1930 in Cabot, Arkansas to her parents Clarence and Mammie Lovett. She was married to George William Horn for forty-two years, living in Little Rock for most of that time where they raised their four children, Pam, Debbie, Vay and Dusty.

Mary had a long career with AT&T, retiring after a successful thirty-year career to be a full-time grandmother and homemaker. She was also an active member at Martindale Baptist Church. Mary was an energetic grandmother, helping to raise ten grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending many weekends cooking, gardening, and on Lake Hamilton with family. As great as her love for family was her sense of humor—never sacrificing an opportunity for punch lines and laughter.

Mary is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Moore, Deborah Thuston and her husband Charlie, Lava Davis and her husband Henry, all of Little Rock; a loving daughter-in-law, Virgie Horn; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Horn; her son, George “Dusty” Horn Jr.; her sister; two brothers and a son-in-law.

Mary will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 2 at 10:00am at Martindale Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 11:15am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.
