Mary Denis

Mary Catherine Denis, 89 of North Little Rock passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 11, 1929 to the late Roy and Thelma Haines. Memaw was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She was a long-standing member of Crystal Valley Baptist Church. She retired after 35 years with the Pulaski County School District and a was pillar of the Oak Grove Schools.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Denis, Sr.; two sons, Jack H. Denis, Jr. and Tim Denis. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Catherine Haines-Martello (Michael) of Claremont, Florida; daughter-in-law, Shirley Denis, of Sheridan; grandchildren, Gator Denis (Amber) of Sheridan, Susan Schubert (Derek) of Cabot, Jessica Denis of Jacksonville, Patricia Tullos (Merle) of North Little Rock, Tammy McDonald (Bud) of Sheridan and Paisley Denis of North Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Chris, Kenzie, Alli and Riggin Denis; Adrianna Morris, Jordan Gilbert; Katie Denis; Blake Nolan, Cameron, Lexi and Braylee McDonald; numerous nephews and nieces and her special family, Mary Hall, Katherine Joseph, Colleen Mays, Ewilda Matchett and Gladys Stark.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
