Margaret Gillaspie

Margaret E. Gillaspie, age 83, passed away April 13, 2017 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab.

Margaret was born April 1, 1934 in Clark County to Neil and Joanna Page Gillaspie. She called Arkadelphia home. Margaret was a proud Ouachita graduate and alumni of of the Southern Baptist Seminary.


Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Anna B. Hicks. She is survived by her cousins, Jean Scott of Benton, Evelyn Freibolt of Arkadelphia, Mary Traywick of Pearcy, George Page of Terre Vista, AZ, her protégée Darla Bailey of Louisville, KY; a world of friends, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at Ruggles Wilcox Chapel at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, with Will Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service. Pallbearers are David Sanders, Tommy Traywick, Jay Freibolt and John Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Dorman, TerryTraywick, Kyle McAfee and the staff of Twin Rivers Healthcare.
