Margaret Ethel Turner Johnson, age 91, of Hot Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born on April 12, 1926 in Kirby, the daughter of Willie Dudley Turner, Sr. and Margaret Ethel Mitchell Turner. On February 2, 1946, she was married to Willie Fay Johnson who preceded her in death on December 29, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her son, Daniel Lee Johnson; her parents; and her siblings, Willie Dudley "W. D." Turner, Jr. and his wife, Blanche, Bobby John Turner and Nancy Alice Becktold. She was a long-time member of the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Whenever a need arose, she would give her time to care for her family, especially during the illnesses of her mother and sister. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Melissa Spake Johnson Dial and her husband, David, of Hot Springs; her grandson, Casey Richard Johnson and his wife, Sonya, of Hot Springs; three great-grandchildren, Joslyn Johnson, Kassadey Hibbs and Kaileigh Jones; her siblings and their spouses, Kenneth Aaron and Frances Turner of Conroe, Texas, Joe Britt and Alice Turner of Kirby; her sister-in-law, Juanita Turner of Ozark, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Keith Howell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery near Kirby. Pallbearers will be Brian Haley, Jim Turner, David Turner, Nathan Turner, Stephen Turner, Kenny Turner and David Dial. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
