Louise Rea

Louise Irene Murphy Rea, 93, of Houston, Texas, went to be with Jesus and her husband William Rea on September 1, 2019.  She was born to the late Ira Lee and Virene Harper Murphy on August 19, 1926, in Dermott, Arkansas.

Louise was a teacher for over thirty-five years.  She was a member of Lake Forest Church of the Nazarene where she served as the church pianist for decades.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, William Rea, four brothers, and one grandson Matthew Perez.

Louise is survived by four children, Brenda Rea, Gary Rea, Karen Jones and Gwen Rea Mann; one son-in-law; eight grandchildren, Jeff Golden, Jamie Harvill, Kristin Lipin, Kimberly Gonzalez, Brittany Perez, Amber Elder, Crystal Kingsbury, and Alane Kelley; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Murene Bauldwin and Virene Sasak, and a host of family and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Oliver Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.  Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.  www.smithfamilycares.com
