Linda Wharton

Linda C. Wharton, 76, of North Little Rock went to her heavenly home on November 12, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1945 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late Hiris Blevins and Hallene Finley Blevins. She was reunited with her beloved husband, Jim, her parents, her sister, Lana Patton and brother, Wayne Blevins.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Lee of Maumelle and Kim (Jeff) King of Roland. Her grandsons, Tanner (Megan) Pruss and Trent Pruss, granddaughters Zoey and Mady, and great grandchildren, Charleigh and Oliver.

She was the 3rd of 8 children. Surviving siblings are Raylene Middleton, Jimmy Don Blevins, Pat (Jack) Smogoleski, Vonda Crowder and Marilyn (John) Bratton. She has numerous nieces and nephews, along with many friends that were considered family.

She enjoyed shopping, watching the Razorbacks, attending her grandson’s football, baseball and basketball games. She loved to read and listen to Gospel music. She loved to make people smile and loved a good prank. She was the best cook and her greatest joy was feeding everyone that came into her house. She made sure to make everyone’s favorite food.  She always had a big smile on her face and a huge hug for anyone that crossed her path.

She loved to buy presents but couldn’t keep them a secret and would normally give them to you early. She was greatly loved by her daughters and they were so blessed to spend the last week of her life with her.

Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
