Linda Sims

Linda Joyce Sims passed from this life into her eternal life on April 9th, 2020 at the age of 76.  She was born in Leachville, Arkansas on August 28, 1943 to the joy of her parents Charles Long and Ethel Long (Croom) which preceded her in death.  Her siblings included her Sister Kathy Layton and Brother Danny Long who preceded in her death also.  And a Sister currently residing in Houston – Karen Myers.

Linda aka Mom as everyone called her had a variety of professions.  She worked as a Hair Stylist and a Floral Designer.  She also worked in retail.  Her most rewarding job that she held in life was that of being a Mom.  She had three children – Teresa Veins – who preceded her in death.  David “Tazz” Sims and his wife Karen of Ward, Arkansas and Tammy and John Williams of Houston, Texas.

Linda was also proud to be called Grandma and her grandchildren are Kaylee Williams, Nathaniel Williams, Gavin Veins, Rhett Veins, Victoria Veins, Ethan JD Heibel, Emily Mullins, Chassity Mullins, Garrett Mullins.  And as proud as she was be called Grandma, she also held the title of Great Grandma to Jonah Williams, Kielyn Williams, Ayden Foster, and Cadence Carrier.

Linda enjoyed a great deal of things in her lifetime – her children, grand-children, family, friends and will be missed deeply by all of them.  She also enjoyed her pets, her home, traveling to Texas to be with family, going on cruises and the ocean, and motorcycle riding.  She had been motorcycle riding with her son just a month ago. Her smile and her spirit were a light to those that knew her.  She was one of the kindest, most gentle, tender human beings to grace other lives and she will forever remain in our memories.
