Send With Love

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Joshua Alexander Lively, better known as “Alex” or “Ox” to his family, age 42, our most beloved son, family member, and friend passed suddenly on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Alex was a loving son and best friend to his Mother, Nancy Spurgeon Lively, and will be missed everyday by her, his father, Dow Lively, his grandmother Bobbye Lively, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
The circumstances surrounding his death - a life of so many challenges, ups and downs - was completely unexpected as to the personal growth and progress he had been making over the last several months.
Alex had so much goodness about him. He affected so many people in his life. His genuine care of others and animals was one of his purest qualities. His dry sense of humor and his sharp wit, although sometimes annoying, would dare to make you laugh.
He would do anything for anybody. He would help in any way he could. Alex may not have been professionally trained and completely skilled at the many tasks he accepted, but he did his best and was always willing to try. And typically excelled at his undertakings.
In his years growing up, he was highly active. He water skied, snow skied, scuba dived, and was most notoriously known at his expertise in raiding his Gaga’s freezer.
We know Alex is now with his son Pierce, and his Gaga, in Heaven and is loved and deeply missed here on Earth.
Friends will be received at the Smith-North Little Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock (501)758-1170 on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6-8 PM.
