Joseph Mikita
Joe passed away from this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2018. He was born June 12, 1949 in Patuxtant River, Maryland to Joseph V. Mikita and Gertrude Merritt Mikita.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly Comer Mikita, his daughters; Heather Anderson (Randy) and Autumn Hallock (Danial), as well as his precious granddaughters; Hailey and Hadley Garibay. Joe is also survived by his (little) sister, Patricia Rensch (Dick) and his brother, Merritt Mikita (Linda).
He served, proudly, in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, most of that time at LRAFB on Titian II missile crews. He spent 16 years on the City of Sherwood's volunteer fire department. He loved working with his hands whether building a stone wall or a sun porch.
