John Lavender

John Paul Lavender, 62, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away April 25, 2020. He was born in Little Rock on November 24, 1957 to John Douglas and Ola Faye Lavender.

John was a member of Central Baptist Church and an ordained deacon. He loved serving in the church and spent many years as a Royal Ambassadors leader. He worked at the Target Distribution Center in Maumelle for 28 years and finished his working career at Personal Security Products. John loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and sporting events.

He is survived by his loving wife Lori; and children, Lindsey (Grant) Lane, Drew (Lauren) Lavender, and Leah (Tanner) Canamore; grandchildren, Lainey and Adalynn Lavender; siblings, James (Gayle) Lavender and Betty (Jeff) Matthews, and many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Barbara Moore.

Viewing will be 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
