Janeva Hatcher

Janeva  Hatcher, 84, of Sherwood passed away on Tuesday,  January 21, 2020.  She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 10, 1935.  Janeva retired after 20 years of service with the Newburn, North Carolina Police Department.  She loved bowling, knitting, crocheting and Dachshund, “Joy”.

Janeva is survived by her children Judith Jones and husband Stan, Renea Swadley and her husband Ben, her son Dan Rodgers and wife Audrey, son Joseph Rodgers; by 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son James Rodgers and her parents and brother.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to service starting at 10:00 a.m.
