James "Jimmy" Ballard

James C. “Jimmy” Ballard, 80, of Ward, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Jimmy attended Country Chapel Church for many years.  He worked as a switch man for the railroad for twenty-six years.  He was a cattle farmer most of his life and deeply loved his family and many friends.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Delores Brooks Ballard; his daughter, Angela Carlton-Conley (Gary); grandchildren James Carlton, Angie Runels (Chris), Jason Conley, Amanda Woodruff (Jason), Paul Conley (Rachel); nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lois Light Ballard; two sisters and two brothers.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Country Chapel Church, with burial in Sylvania Cemetery.  Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
