James (Bill) Highfill, 87, of Little Rock passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was born in Paragould, AR on December 9, 1929 to Ruben F. and Maude (Paris) Highfill. Bill served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a Carpenter in the Construction Industry and a member in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Bertha Mae Highfill of Little Rock; daughters, Kathy Schrader (Ron) of Benton, Karen Trantham (Blake) of Conway; son-in-law, James Stauber of Little Rock; brother, Kenny Highfill of Conway; six grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsay, Marcus, Lana, Zachary and Amanda and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Karol Stauber, brother, Frank Highfill and sister, Jane Plumblee.
