Gussie Love

Gussie Love, 87, of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on July 11, 2016. She was born in Carlisle, Arkansas on May 17, 1929 to Claude and Elsie Cate. Gussie married Weldon Love in 1948. She was a retired school teacher who taught at Jefferson Davis at North Little Rock for over thirty years. Gussie loved to volunteer at the North Pulaski Baptist Association Caring Center in Jacksonville. She was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for over fifty years.

Gussie is survived by her children, Mark (Kim) Love of Cabot, Phillip Love of Russellville and Jimmy (Jenny) Love of Sherwood; grandchildren Bobbi Barrett, Katie Lackey, Garrett Love, Danielle Smith, Olivia Love and Catelyn Love; and her sisters Patsy Swaffar of Quitman and Elsie Faye Moon of Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and six brothers.

Memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, with entombment in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
