Eddie Seaton

Eddie Seaton, 73, of Cabot, Arkansas, was born October 22, 1942 at Sylvania, Arkansas to Otha and Vara (Smith) Seaton, and he died Saturday, August 13, 2016.

Eddie retired from the Arkansas State Police after a distinguished 37 ½ year career, twelve years as a trooper and 25 ½ years as Post Sergeant, Troop A, Lonoke County. As a Post Sergeant, he trained many young troopers. He was known by most people that knew him and worked with him as "Sarg".

Eddie was a member of Sylvania Presbyterian Church and past master of Cabot Masonic Lodge #319. A great teller of tales, he loved to talk and laugh, and was a highly respected officer and man of the community. He was also an avid quail hunter.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerry (Williams) Seaton; son Eddie Scott Seaton (Sandra); daughter Susan (Seaton) Killough; granddaughter Kelsey Alexandra Yancey; sister Darlene Seaton Byrd; and brother Carroll Baker Seaton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved granddaughter Savannah Cheyenne Killough; and brother-in-law Bob Byrd.
